Welcome to Upward Bound - Coon Rapids Campus

 TRiO/Upward Bound is a federally funded College Readiness program for first-generation high school students in the North Metro area. Our students are determined, motivated and prepared to be sucessful in college and in life! They spend extra hours during the week at after-school tutoring in their schools. One of their Saturday's a month is spent with our entire Upward Bound at Anoka-Ramsey Community College learning the necessarily skills, tools and knowledge it takes to be college ready. During the summer, Upward Bound students spend 5 weeks taking classes, followed by an enrichment trip exposing them to many colleges in the area.

Upward Bound is funded to serve 100 students from seven area high schools: Anoka, Blaine, Champlin Park, Coon Rapids, Osseo, Park Center and Spring Lake Park.

Upward Bound at Anoka-Ramsey College-Coon Rapids Campus is 100% federally funded at $500,000 annually, with in-kind support from Anoka-Ramsey Community College.  A member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.  An Affirmative action/equal opportunity educator and employer.
