Anoka-Ramsey Community College Counselors are specially trained faculty who provide mental health programming, crisis intervention, career counseling, short-term individual counseling, assessments, and referrals.

What We Do

Personal Counseling

Short-term counseling for personal and social problems that impact student success, such as:

  • Life balance, stress, and anxiety

  • Relationship issues

  • Support and referral for alcohol/chemical abuse, sexual assault, depression, eating disorders, etc. 

Personal Crises

  • Physical or sexual abuse, assault, or harassment

  • Thoughts of suicide or self-harm

Career Decision-making 

  • Understanding the career planning process

  • Individual career counseling

  • Interpretation of career assessments

  • Career planning resources and referral

Academic Counseling

  • Choosing a major

  • Academic problems, academic suspension

Advising Services

Anoka-Ramsey Community College Advisors are specially trained staff members who assist students with academic planning, academic and career information, and academic success.
